Chris Williamson owns Custom Cabinets by Williamson Millworks, in Savannah, Georgia. In the early 1970's, Savannah's Historic District began to bloom as did Custom Cabinets. Established by the work ethic and committed approach to servicing his customer's needs, a single dedicated craftsman, Roy Williamson, laid the groundwork for what is today Williamson Millworks.
Today Williamson Millworks is owned and operated by Chris Williamson, and has become a premier casework supplier specializing in both commercial and residential applications. We offer both pre-manufactured factory cabinetry lines from leading suppliers or can design & build custom solutions in house.
Our commercial casework is built to AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) standards with the highest quality craftsmanship. We are skilled at working under tight budgets, deadlines, and schedules, while meeting all architectural and designer specifications.
"We specialize in residential cabinetry as well as commercial casework. We were started in 1974 by Roy and Clint Williamson. Then they sold the business 1996 and I was fortunate enough to buy the company back bringing back into the family name in 2005."

It's been a learning process. Once all we had was a table saw, and a lot of boring machine
and then as time progressed into the changes they captured from face risk
averse to your ok I bought an edge bander within the campus stop because
they think they have taken the company as far as could really go in the
industry leader in if you're not constantly looking for new ways to do
business
you just one step away from going out of the capital to
build
casework base and so I started looking at how we can
grow our business
without actually have
faster more efficient way to work
whenever we finally decided to purchase the best base rather go with them see
our on for about a couple of things happen that I really wasn't aware of it
turned out to be a great thing you're going down to one machine that's the big
basically handle everything but almost she'd plywood on the router does order
shutting lamborn structure boring everything he would have pushed off
machine
done so you're ready to roll for that purpose alone just cutting out the extra
travel involved and 1.8 when people see in this base robbers paid if we were
able to clear out
more room and have won round one machine to machine footage technology we had to
a card which of the four point whether that person but the part in their square
and then hit the Go button and something was drilled out of square to me and we
got a park became down C
coming out of the recession and do the things we're going to take off it was
important to stay ahead of the curve
we basically completely redid up shop the way we do business we got rid of the
work cell went to a competitor in North Carolina look at their yesterday's
router in its like anything you can make it look good
fancy
with it in the Davis not doing what it what you want to do
see our house
quickly please come by our facilities but that's what I did I was amazed to
see
all the different types of machines from regular payroll processing 25 access
machines to their machines and make machines it was pretty incredible see
that
you could tell they had a top quality product this difficult to be
manufactured
at all other machinery for me have it was nice to me
