EATONTON, Ga. -- Cosmo Cabinets is still making cabinets, but has had to make adjustments in its business because of the coronavirus pandemic, and may have to make more in the future.
The Atlanta-area company makes frameless Euro-style cabinets, primarily for multifamily housing, a company representative explained in a telephone interview with Woodworking Network.
So far, he said the biggest challenge is the fear of closing due to the coronavirus itself. There have been no reported cases among the company’s 40 employees
A second challenge is related to its customers. Cosmo can’t ship to homebuilders in Michigan and Pennsylvania because those businesses have been closed by government order.
Earlier, the company had a backlog of orders to work through, but now customers are contacting them and pushing back their delivery dates due to the uncertainty.
There have been no reported cases of the virus in their town. The company is not allowing visitors to their manufacturing operation, but they intend to keep some level of production going.
